What the client is protecting
A corporate client's grounds contract protects employees, visitors and the brand on campus. The exhibit asks for additional insured status for the client and its affiliates, chemical coverage with the licence to match, an umbrella sized to the client's exposure, and supplier onboarding that measures safety as well as insurance. National accounts enforce it through a portal that expires certificates and blocks payment.
The lines a corporate grounds contract names
General liability with the client and affiliates added, read for chemical, tree and snow exclusions. The applicator endorsement and licence. Waivers on every policy. Auto with trailers scheduled. Workers' compensation in every site state, often with an experience modification threshold. An umbrella of $2M to $5M. Supplier portal registration with safety documentation, and snow conditions where the contract includes winter work.
How to check your policies against the contract
Get the supplier portal's requirements list. Match the general liability limits and confirm the additional insured form covers affiliates. Read the exclusions page. Confirm the applicator endorsement and licence, the waiver on each policy, auto, the workers' compensation states and experience modification, and the umbrella schedule. Upload the endorsements and safety documents with the certificate.
Keep the certificate current
Supplier portals expire certificates at each renewal and hold invoices until they are replaced. A live certificate link stays current as policies renew, carries the endorsements as attachments and notifies the client when a line changes, which keeps payment moving.
