Where the requirement lives
In the sanctioning body's insurance rules, usually published with registration; in each facility-use agreement, park permit or school-district form; and in tournament hosts' entry packets. They differ from one another, and they change. The contract checker in the wallet reads each agreement and lists its items against the policies you carry.
The items that stop a season
A general liability policy with an athletic-participants exclusion, which covers the spectators and not the players; abuse coverage as a sublimit where the body requires a separate limit; and an accident medical limit below the sanctioning body's minimum. Each is visible on the declarations and forms, and each is a row in the comparison when CoverMatch quotes the coverage.
Certificates, one per holder
Field owners, gyms, school districts and tournament hosts each want their own certificate, with their own additional insured wording, often on a deadline before the first practice. A live certificate from the wallet is issued per holder, carries the endorsements the agreement names, and updates itself when the policy renews. The holder opens a link and sees today's coverage; the club stops issuing PDFs.
When the requirement exceeds what you carry
Quote the gap before the deadline. Participant coverage, a separate abuse limit and accident medical at the body's minimum are standard from the carriers that write youth and recreational sports, and an umbrella answers a facility that asks for higher limits. CoverMatch sends one application to every eligible carrier and shows the quotes against the agreement's exhibit.
